Hackers Working To Port Siri On iPhone 4 (SCREENSHOT)

Once the Siri voice recognition feature announced yesterday at the iPhone 4S keynote and people started to get crazy about it. Everyone now wants Siri feature to be ported to the iPhone 4. Now we have some good news for you.
Siri Port On iPhone 4
The popular iPhone hacker known as iH8sn0w and John Heaton (@Gojohnnyboi) have started to work on porting the Siri feature on iPhone 4. They’ve already ported Siri to the iPod touch 4G but it is not fully functioning as shown in the screenshot above.
We successfully enabled Siri, but it seems out it is compiled to only work on the 4[s], and thus, cannot be used(yet).
As tweeted by John Heaton, “We’ve got 3+ smart people performing an analysis on Assistant… be patient.” he also replied to some saying that “you’d be surprised…”
According to this tweet from iH8sn0w, Apple might have left out crucial files for Siri in the iOS 5 GM so that means it may be successfully ported once iOS 5 is officially released.
The port is done on iPod touch 4G not iPhone 4 but in case hackers have succeed to port Siri on iPod touch 4G, they would do the same on iPhone 4.

A word from iH8sn0w about the port:
It’s definitely not just a plist value that you have to change in order to get Siri. Thus far, it has required a lot of searching and digging. After sending all the known information to John, I’m beginning to find that it is much harder than expected. We’re using an iPod touch 4G now but our aim is to port it to all devices that Apple won’t support. At this point, we’re unsure of whether Siri requires certain hardware components or not. At this point, we can’t say but are still trying. After buying the iPhone 4S myself, I will be looking to see if there are any new files that are not available on the current iOS 5 version. This might be our stopping point.
